Monique Macleod is the Commonwealth Bank’s Group Executive of Marketing and Corporate Affairs. She commenced this role in September 2021.
Monique is responsible for bringing together the bank’s marketing, branding, stakeholder insights, government relations, communications and corporate social responsibility functions, to guide how we engage with customers, communicate with stakeholders and the broader community, and manage reputational issues.
Since joining the Commonwealth Bank in 2008, Monique has held a number of roles including General Manager for Brand and Sponsorship, and General Manager for Consumer Marketing. In December 2017, Monique was appointed Chief Marketing Officer and played a key role in rebuilding the brand and reputation of the bank following the Royal Commission.
Prior to joining Commonwealth Bank, Monique held roles at advertising agencies McCann Erickson WorldGroup and DDB Australia, where she was responsible for the successful execution of advertising and communication strategies for major clients.
Monique has an Advertising Practitioners Certificate from the Advertising Foundation of Australia, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
