Everyday Account Smart Access - if you're 14 or over

If you're 14 or over and have an Australian residential address, you can open an Everyday Account Smart Access online in under 5 minutes.

Smart Access Account for Youth - if you're under 14

Under 14 ? You’ll need to ask your parent or legal guardian for permission to open a Smart Access Account for Youth for you.

Savings accounts for teens

Our savings accounts help you save up for the things you want. 

NetBank Saver - if you're 14 and over

With a NetBank Saver, you'll get:
  • A flexible way to save and earn interest
  • An account with no minimum deposit
  • An online savings account linked to your CommBank transaction account
  • To create savings goals in the CommBank app, so you can track your progress

If you don’t have an existing transaction account or a NetBank online banking registration, we’ll automatically open these for you if you are eligible to open a NetBank Saver online.

Youthsaver - for under 18s

With a Youthsaver, you'll get:

  • Zero monthly account fees
  • A bonus interest rate when you grow your balance each calendar month
  • To manage your money in the CommBank Youth app

If you're 14 or over, drop in to your nearest branch with your birth certificate or passport to open a Youthsaver account.

A parent or legal guardian can open a Youthsaver account online for you if you're under 14.
