Changes that apply across our credit cards

Cash advances

From 1 February 2027, the cash advance interest rate on impacted cards increases to 23.99% p.a. and the cash advance fee increases to 3.5% of the amount of the cash advance.

We're also removing the $300 maximum cash advance fee. This means the fee will be calculated on the full amount of the cash advance, with no cap. For larger cash advances, this will mean a higher fee than you pay today.

Example: a $10,000 cash advance currently attracts a fee of $300 (capped). From 1 February 2027, the same cash advance would attract a fee of $350.

Cash advances include withdrawing cash, gambling transactions, buying foreign currency and some bill payments. Interest applies from the day of the transaction - there is no interest-free period on cash advances.

Overlimit fee removed

We’re removing the overlimit fee from impacted credit card accounts. The current fee of $15 for impacted retail credit cards and $10 for impacted personal liability business credit cards will be reduced to $0. No overlimit fee will be charged on statements issued on or after 1 February 2027.
