Invest in 10 themed Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), covering areas like technology, sustainability and top Australian companies. ETFs group together a range of companies or assets, helping you diversify your investments in one simple trade.

Fees and costs depend on the product you choose to invest in.

Everyday Investing (EDI)

  • Monthly access fee: $0 if your total account balance is under $1,000, or $2 where your account balance is $1,000 or more.

  • Management fees and costs: 0.35% p.a., which is reflected in the daily unit price for the fund.

  • Transaction costs: 0.05% p.a. (estimated), which is also reflected in the daily unit price for the fund.

Example: If your total Everyday Investing account balance is $1,000 or more and assuming your balance remained at $1,000 throughout the year, you’d pay $24 ($2 monthly) in access fees, about $3.50 in management costs and $0.50 in transaction costs. That’s a total of $28 for the year.

  • Brokerage fee: $2 per trade up to $1,000, or 0.20% for trades above $1,000.

Funding depends on the investing option you choose:

Everyday Investing (EDI)

The money will be debited from your Linked CommBank Account immediately and will be shown in your Everyday Investing ‘Transactions’ screen as ‘Pending’.

Investments typically take two business days to process. Once processed, the transaction will show as ‘Completed’ in your ‘Transactions’ screen and we’ll notify you in the app and through email.

Your Everyday Investing account balance will only be updated once the investment is completed.

CommSec Pocket ETFs

Trades are paid directly from your linked CommBank account each time you invest. You can set up re-occurring regular or one-off investments.

CommSec Australian Shares

You’ll need a Commonwealth Direct Investment Account (CDIA) linked to your CommSec trading account for settlements and transfers. A CDIA will be automatically opened for you when you open a CommSec trading account.

  1. In the CommBank app, search for ‘Investing’.

  2. Tap ‘Investing’ under Products & Services to explore your options. You’ll see Everyday Investing, CommSec Pocket, and CommSec Australian Shares, each with information to help you choose the option that best suits your goals.
