The study was undertaken to better understand the dynamics of the self managed super fund (SMSF) market, with a specific focus on the gender, generational and other demographic differences in relation to managing an SMSF.
While the study looked at a number of demographic considerations, a key objective was to examine the difference in behaviours, confidence and market outlook between men and women.
The research was developed and conducted by Galaxy Research among a national sample of Australian consumers which included 801 SMSF members and trustees and 535 without an SMSF aged 18 years and older.
