Tap & Pay using an iPhone or other Android smartphone (without NFC)
If you’re using an iPhone or other Android smartphone (without NFC) you can use Tap & Pay by purchasing a PayTag via the CommBank app. A one-off fee of $2.99 will apply.
Once your CommBank PayTag arrives, you’ll need to attach it to your device. Don’t just stick it anywhere though; placement is important.
You’ll need to stick the PayTag directly on the back of your phone towards the bottom. Placing it in this area ensures there is no interference with the battery, so you can Tap & Pay first time, every time.
If you have a phone cover, the PayTag will work underneath the cover, but you can also stick the PayTag on the outside of your phone cover too if you like.
