About Financial Services 

We're responsible for providing specialist advice, support and insights on financial performance to support our Board, our shareholders and a vast number of businesses in their decision making, as well as working closely with all areas of the Group to help set our overall business strategy.

Financial Services (FS) teams also include the Group Treasury and Audit & Assurance functions, in addition to teams that provide specialist services in decision support, analytics, and management information systems design. In FS you'll gain exposure across all the areas of the Group to provide you with invaluable insights into the end-to-end banking sector.

Group Corporate Services

We sit within Financial Services and manage the property and procurement functions for the Group.

In Group Property, we have accountability for the portfolio strategy, space planning, leasing, design, construction, sustainability, business transition and ongoing facilities management. The team also delivers major workplace projects such as the redevelopment of our Darling Harbour buildings.

In Group Procurement, we facilitate the commercial negotiations, contract creation and ongoing performance across our supplier landscape.

Our team helps internal stakeholders with all aspects of procurement from providing guidance through simple and easy policies and processes – so they can self-serve - to specialist strategic advice on sourcing, total lifecycle cost management, contract and supplier management to sustainability and risk.

Our Programs

  • Graduate Recruitment Program

    This 18-month structured Program includes three six-month rotations in our core business areas with a fourth rotation of your preference while you’re supported in finding your permanent placement.

    In Group Procurement, your rotations will focus on supporting the Group to make informed decisions about the way they leverage suppliers to support us achieve the Group’s objectives.  This includes, supporting business owners to source new goods or services, helping business owners to improve their commercial positions and/or uplift their risk position negotiating directly with suppliers, sharing performance and analytics to provide market and supplier insights and safeguarding the Group in our approach to managing supplier risk and governance.

    You’ll work in specialist areas such as Category Management, Procurement Systems & Enablement, Strategic Deals & Commercial Insights and Group Supplier Risk Assurance.

    Our Development Program is centred on enhancing our core FS capabilities to become a future leader within our team. The capabilities are a focus area for all FS teams and will be your building blocks to ongoing personal and professional development:

    Our FS rotations are within the Sydney CBD, as well as our newly built offices in South Eveleigh

  • Summer Intern Program

    This 10-week Program exposes you to one of our specialist teams within our diverse FS business and will help set you up for future success. You’ll have access to training, networking and mentoring opportunities and be empowered to make a meaningful contribution to our business.

  • Financial Services

    At the core you’ll be looking to develop your accounting skills. But to succeed you'll be highly analytical with the ability to translate complex financial trends into business opportunities. The landscape of the finance environment is constantly changing, and we're looking for individuals who can adapt to ongoing change, succeed in high-pressure environments and be able to work as part of a high-performing team.

    Degrees: We consider Graduates from all degrees for FS. However, a strong interest, along with fundamental units undertaken, in a numbers and/or technology field of study is critical (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, and Mathematics).

  • Group Property

    At the core you’ll be looking to develop your knowledge of the end-to-end processes required to develop a strategy, lease, develop, design, construct and manage physical property assets. But to succeed, you’ll have a high level of emotional intelligence with the ability work as part of a high-performing team. The landscape of the property sector is constantly changing, and we’re looking for individuals who can adapt to ongoing challenges and succeed in high-pressure environments.

    Degrees: We also consider Graduates from all degrees for Group Property however, you must be able to demonstrate a strong experience and understanding of the property or construction sector. Typical fields of study include Engineering, Architecture, Property Economics, Asset & Facility Management, Construction and Project Management.

  • Group Procurement

    At the core you’ll be looking to develop your commercial and execution skills, but to succeed you'll be highly analytical with the ability to translate complex market insights, supplier contracts and commercials into business opportunities supported by robust delivery plans for execution. The landscape of the supplier environment is constantly changing, and we're looking for individuals who can adapt to ongoing change and risk management practices, succeed in high-pressure environments and be able to work as part of a high-performing team.

    Degrees: We consider Graduates from all degrees. However, a strong interest, along with fundamental units undertaken, in a numbers, legal and/or business field of study is critical (e.g. Accounting, Law, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management).

    • Community: Financial Services has a strong focus on improving the wellbeing of our community and provides opportunities for both volunteer and pro-bono activities organised by our Group volunteering team.
