Our Chief Operations Office (COO) ensures the origination, production, validation and fulfilment of all consumer and commercial financial transactions and trades on behalf of the entire Group, including Bankwest.
Operations is the strategic centre of the Group. We’re all about improving and transforming the processes that deliver products, services and productivity benefits across the Bank. We aim to make life simpler and safer for our customers and play a key role in the transformation journey of digitisation and automation over the coming years. We’re customer and people-focused, ensuring change is sustainable, successful and rapid.
The Operations Graduate Program offers Graduates an accelerated development and career path over 18 months. The Program includes three structured 6-month rotations through key business areas as well as development opportunities and support while you learn. This Program is designed to build diverse skills and capabilities and fast track your career in operational leadership, or specialise in an area of your choice.
You’ll work within supportive teams to help drive transformation and innovation to improve the customer experience, and be supported to develop yourself while you contribute. You’ll be encouraged to pursue your interests in Operations and tailor the Program to you.

Your Program also includes multiple professional development opportunities, including Design Thinking, Agile training, interactive masterclasses and Graduate conferences. These collaborative sessions will enable you to develop leadership capabilities, enhance your presentation skills and critical thinking.
You’ll be exposed to topics such as emotional intelligence, resilience and leading through change, which will prepare you for success during the Program and beyond.

This 10-week Program provides exposure across our diverse business. You’ll receive training and networking opportunities, be supported by a buddy and have the chance to contribute meaningfully to our business.
We consider Graduates from all degree backgrounds. We welcome anyone with an interest or experience in Operations, and any type of frontline retail experience. A passion for, and interest in technology is encouraged but not required.
To be successful in your career in Operations, you’ll need to be proactive, solutions-focused and resilient.
You’re a strong role model of our purpose and values, and demonstrate leadership attributes. You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, are commercially minded with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
