Some of the Commonwealth Bank’s busiest branches in NSW, will be opening their doors for Saturday trading from this Saturday the 15th of July. It’s the final stage of a national weekend trading roll-out, with more than 60 branches taking part in the initiative nationwide.
The extended trading hours are part of the Bank’s commitment to providing greater convenience, accessibility and customer service, which has also seen the recent removal of internet banking fees on everyday transactions and the introduction of two new transaction products: Streamline e-Access and Streamline Unlimited – both with flat monthly fees.
According to the Group Executive for Retail Banking Services Mr Michael Cameron, Saturday trading is all about offering greater convenience to customers.
"This initiative indicates we have listened to our customers and we’re taking tangible steps to improve our customer service," Mr Cameron said.
"Already this year we’ve eliminated some NetBank fees and introduced streamlined accounts with a capped low monthly fee, allowing unlimited transactions."
"With the opening of these branches we will be making it easier for our people to provide excellent service to customers."
The Branches which will have Saturday trading are Chinatown, Bondi Junction, Chatswood, Hornsby, Miranda, Warringah Mall, Westfield Tuggerah, Macquarie Shopping Centre, Bankstown Square, Westpoint Blacktown, Castle Towers Castle Hill, Westfield Shopping Centre Hurstville, Westfield Shopping Centre Liverpool, Pagewood, Westfield Parramatta (level 3), Penrith Plaza, Broadway, Ballina, Campbelltown, Tweed City Shopping Centre, Park Beach Plaza Coffs Harbour, Shellharbour Square, Kotara, Charlestown Square and Glendale.
Customers will be welcomed between the hours of 10am and 2pm.
The initiative follows the launch of the Bank’s new brand advertising campaign. The tagline of the campaign is "Every day’s a new day" and emphasises the Bank’s commitment to its customers.
