Commonwealth Bank launches new banking experience at the Gap

The Commonwealth Bank will tonight unveil the first branch in Australia to be redesigned under its new Branch Experience Program, which will provide customers with a completely new in-branch experience.
The branch at The Gap Shopping Centre, Brisbane is launching the redesign program, with 70 similar branches to open nationally over the next twelve months.
Shane Myers, Branch Manager at The Gap said: "We are very proud to be the first branch in Australia to showcase the Bank’s new look and new banking experience for our customers.
"The team looks forward to unveiling the state of the art facilities at our special preview tonight for both business and personal customers" he said.
Features of the new branch experience include a friendly concierge service in which branch staff greet customers at the door before guiding them to a new open plan telling area, consisting of independent single tellers rather than the traditional counter and separating wall.
A dedicated refreshment area will provide customers with complimentary tea and coffee, while phone banking access and internet banking terminals will also be available. Other service options include private sales offices, self service change counting machines and ATMs.
Ross McEwan, Group Executive, Commonwealth Bank Retail Banking Services said: "The Gap branch is the first in a national roll out to provide Commonwealth Bank customers with a new branch experience with more options and choice."

The Commonwealth Bank Gap branch opening runs from 5.30pm – 7pm on 7 August at The Gap Shopping Centre, 982 Waterworks Road, The Gap.
