PayID allows you to use your mobile number, email address, ABN or ACN to receive payments into your nominated CommBank business account. You can share your PayID with customers to receive payments in near real-time, 24/7.
PayID is a simple, fast and secure way for your customers to pay you.
If you’re a sole trader, you can register your mobile number, email address or ABN as your PayID.
If you have another business structure, you can register your ABN or ACN as your PayID.
You’ll also need to:
Complete the PayID Registration form.
Simply provide customers with your PayID. If they're with a participating bank, they can log on to their mobile or internet banking and make a PayID payment. Their bank will securely transfer the money into your account, usually in less than a minute1.
Once you've set up your PayID, let your customers know it's available by adding a PayID logo to your website or invoices.
If you’ve registered a mobile number or email address as a PayID, you can close, transfer or update your PayID in NetBank or the CommBank app.
If you've registered an ABN or ACN as a PayID, complete the maintenance section of the PayID Registration & Maintenance form.
To lock or unlock your PayID, call us on 13 2221.
A PayID, such as your mobile number, can only be linked to one account at a time. You can register additional PayIDs, such as an email address or ABN, and link them to the same account or different accounts. You can also change the account linked to an existing PayID.
Your account details are never shared with people who pay you using your PayID. A PayID can only be used to take payments from your account if you choose to link it to a PayTo agreement.
Yes. To send payments to someone else, they just need to provide you with their PayID. Learn more about sending money through PayID.

1 For security reasons, a hold may apply on first time payments. The delay allows fraud security checks to take place and gives you time to alert us to unauthorised or suspicious activity on your account. Subsequent payments should be received in under a minute.
To prevent fraud we can only allow you to register the primary mobile number already linked to your CommBank customer profile. If you'd like to use a different mobile number or need to update your details please call 13 2221.
The CommBank app is free to download, however your mobile network provider charges you for accessing data on your phone. Terms and conditions are available on the app. NetBank access with NetCode SMS is required. Find out about the minimum operating system requirements on the CommBank app page.
