EMV 3D Secure (3DS 2.0) checks a number of data points to identify and authenticate customers. Based on the calculated transaction risk, the cardholder may be prompted to verify their ID eg. with a one-time password or biometric authentication. 

Have these details handy:

  • Business contact information, including phone and email
  • Australian Business Number (ABN), business structure and registered address
  • Financial information, including yearly turnover (or estimated average online sales), average transaction value, start date
  • Details of every director, partner or trustee depending on your business structure. This includes birth date, residency and occupation information

If you're applying online for Simplify, you'll also need:

  • A business trading name registered with ASIC
  • A CommBank Business Transaction Account4

Websites must contain:

  • Terms and conditions
  • Privacy policy
  • Refunds policy
  • Dispatch and deliveries policy if you sell goods
  • Images and description of goods and services you're offering are clearly visible
  • Current contact details, including phone number, email address and trading address in Australia
  • Shipping/delivery information if you're selling goods via your website

You must also ensure your Australian business trading name matches the primary name you use on your website.

    EMV 3D Secure (3DS 2.0) is available across Simplify Hosted Payments and eInvoicing, BPOINT, PowerBoard, and CommWeb. 

    Same day settlement is available on all EFTPOS transactions made before 9.30pm (Sydney/Melbourne time) and all eCommerce transactions made before 5:30pm (Sydney/Melbourne time) for eligible customers with a CommBank Business Transaction Account and a linked CommBank merchant facility.

    Business Transaction Account is required to settle your transactions, if you apply online through NetBank.
