We’re experiencing a thrilling time in history, as technology is transforming the way we live, work and play. It’s exciting to be a part of these changes, and we want to make the most of the possibilities they offer.
That’s why we launched Wired For Wonder, a creative and innovation-led summit. First held in 2013, this popular event keeps growing every year – so in 2018, we’ve expanded our program in Sydney and Melbourne.
What will it involve?
Wired for Wonder is a unique opportunity to be inspired by innovation and technology experts and to connect with other like-minded professionals. In 2018, the event includes the inaugural Wired for Wonder Youth Summit, hosting Australia’s most brilliant young thinkers.
The program is packed with panels and workshops to spark creative discussions around the ever-changing landscape in which we work and live and how we can learn to cope with the evolving change this brings. We’ll explore a diverse range of topics, spanning emerging technologies, neuroscience, entertainment, workplace design, behavioural economics, and health and wellbeing.
Who will be there?
We’ll be bringing a host of local and international speakers to Wired For Wonder this year – including Netflix co-founder Mitch Lowe, neurogaming expert Karen Palmer, and world-famous neuroscientist Dr Beau Lotto.
Our impressive line-up also includes Australian anthropologist Genevieve Bell, Indigenous knowledge and wellness expert Jamie Marloo Thomas, education futurist Frances Valentine, 2017 New South Wales Australian of the Year Deng Adut, Future Crunch, designer Mond Q – and many more.
Drawing on our speakers’ broad range of experiences and fields of expertise, the program is designed to help attendees think differently about their future. It aims to empower them to make positive changes in their own lives, including in their careers and workplaces.
Where and when is it?
In 2018, Wired for Wonder takes place across two cities:
· 11 September - The Atlantic, Melbourne
· 13 September – NIDA, Sydney
· 14 September – Youth Summit, NIDA, Sydney (invite only)
