Multiple currencies

The Travel Money Card can store up to 13 currencies at one time. The applicable currency will automatically be used for the country you are in, if you have that currency on your card.

If you have more than one currency on your card, an order applies. This means that in some cases, the currency that is first in order is used. For example, If you only have Great British pounds (GBP) and Canadian dollars (CAD) on your card, the default is GBP then CAD. The default order is:

  • United States Dollars (USD)
  • Euros (EUR)
  • Great British Pounds (GBP)
  • Australian Dollars (AUD)
  • Japanese Yen (JPY)
  • New Zealand Dollars (NZD)
  • Hong Kong Dollars (HKD)
  • Canadian Dollars (CAD)
  • Singapore Dollars (SGD)
  • Thai Baht (THB)
  • Vietnamese Dong (VND)
  • Chinese Renminbi (CNY)
  • Emirati Dirham (AED)
Setting your currency order
Your card will automatically deduct funds from the currency of your transaction if you have that
currency on your card. If you have multiple currencies on your card, there are some circumstances in which a default currency order may apply, for example, when reloading via BPAY®or if you have insufficient funds loaded for the currency you are trying to use.
For more details or to view/change this currency order, log on to NetBank or call the
Travel Money Customer Service Centre 24/7 on (+61) 1300 660 700.
