Graduate and Intern Programs Application Process

Applications for our 2021 Graduate Program are now closed. Applications for our 2020/21 Summer Intern Program will open in early July. You can view and apply for other roles here.

Application tips

  • Be prepared. Make sure you’ve done your research and can tell us why you’re interested in a career at CommBank.
  • Show us your skills. At each stage of the process, be prepared to talk about your skills and experience, whether from university, work, or in the community.
  • Be you. We want to know all about your experience so we can find the best role for you.

Application process

Application process - submit your application online

Step 1: Submit your application online

Make sure you find out more about our business areas before you fill in your application form, as you need to select which business area matches your skills and interests and which location is best suited for you.  If we read your application and think you’re a perfect fit for another area, we’ll give you a call to discuss.

Application process - complete online assessments

Step 2: Complete online assessments

If you’re successful during our screening process, we’ll ask you to complete a set of online assessments to make sure we’re a perfect match! We’ll send you emails detailing what you need to do to complete the online assessments with specific deadlines to complete these assessments (in some cases this may only be 24 hours). The earlier you submit your application, the longer you will have to complete your assessments. If you don’t complete your assessments in the timeframes specified, we won’t be able to consider your application further.

Application process - telephone interview

Step 3: Digital interview

If your assessment results look good, we’ll send you an invite to record answers in a digital interview format, highlighting your skills and your desire to work for us. Don’t be afraid to show us your personality!

Application process - attend one of our assessment centre

Step 4: Attend one of our Assessment Centres

Next, you'll need to come along to one of our Assessment Centres where you'll learn more about our program/s and our business as well as participate in a range of activities to showcase your skills. If you've got any questions about the Program, this is a great time to ask.

Please note that this stage of the recruitment process may vary for roles based outside of New South Wales.

Application process - your offer

Step 5: Your offer

If you’re a successful applicant we’ll call you within 48 hours with the exciting news and give you all the information you need to make a decision that’s right for you.
