CommBank Awards American Express® Card

I currently have a CommBank Awards American Express Card and have just received a new one. Are my details the same?
Your card number will stay the same however your expiry date may have changed. If your expiry date has changed update any direct debits you have by letting the billers know the new expiry date.

How do I know if a retailer accepts my CommBank Awards American Express Card?
Any retailer who displays the Contactless symbol can accept Contactless payments.

Can I use my card at retailers that don’t have contactless terminals?
Yes. Simply insert your card and enter your PIN.   

How do I know when a contactless payment has been made?
You will hear a ‘beep’ or see the terminal lights illuminate and see a display message confirming that your transaction has been successful.

Can I insert my CommBank contactless enabled American Express Card for transactions under $100?
Yes. If you prefer, you can use your CommBank Awards American Express Card the traditional way, simply insert and enter your PIN.
