Pay a flat monthly fee

  • Like a phone plan, our Simple Merchant Plan covers all your EFTPOS machine costs. It’s what most of our customers choose
  • It's available for the Essential Lite machine
  • You get terminal rental, card transactions and a capped turnover allowance for one monthly fee
  • You can call to change your plan if you’re forecasting higher sales for upcoming months.

Pay per transaction

  • Eligible customers can take advantage of our $0 terminal rental fee offer1, reducing your costs for the first 6 months when you get started.
  • You’ll receive a Fee schedule which is a document that sets out the fees that you’ll pay
  • Fees include Merchant Service Fees, which is charged per transaction, and Interchange Fees, which are set by the card schemes (Visa & MasterCard)

Getting your EFTPOS machine

1. Apply online or call

After you've applied, we'll make sure the product is right for your business. 

2. Review your application

  • We’ll email you your final application form to review
  • If no signature is required, we'll fast track your application for approval
  • If we need a physical signature, we'll email your application to you to sign and return

3. Get approved

  • If approved, we'll send you a confirmation letter with your merchant facility ID

4. Receive your terminal

  • You can choose to receive a text message confirming when your terminal will arrive
  • Our technicians will deliver your terminal
  • Delivery takes at least 3 days for metro and 5 days for regional locations

Before you apply

What you’ll need

  • A business trading name registered with ASIC
  • A Business Transaction Account to settle your sales to. You can set one up with a $0 monthly fee option

Have these details handy 

  • Business contact information, including phone and email
  • Australian Business Number (ABN), business structure and registered address
  • Financial information, including monthly turnover, ands average card transaction sizes
  • Details or every director, partner or truste depending on your business structure. This includes birth date, residency and occupation information

Things you should know

1 The $0 terminal rental fee is available to eligible customers, who apply for and open a new merchant terminal from 17 February 2020 and settle to a CommBank Business Transaction Account on eligible pricing plans. Offer valid until 31 December 2020 and subject to change. The $0 terminal rental fee offer, means customers have their terminal rental fees waived for the first 6 months for upto a maximum of 3 terminals, available on Essential Lite and Essential Plus. The offer is only available at the initial application and cannot be extended to additional terminals after the application has been processed. Available to eligible customers with a Commonwealth Bank business transaction account and a linked Commonwealth Bank eligible merchant facility. ‘Same Day Settlement’ includes all card sales made before 10pm (AEST). Everyday Settlement applies to EFTPOS payments, which are treated as normal credit/debit transactions (for Commonwealth Bank account holders). 

3 Excess usage fees of 1.5% applies to any monthly card turnover over your included amount. Additional fees and charges may apply. The full fee list will be sent to you once your application is processed.

4 hour device replacement service is available for metro. 3-5 business days for remote areas. Remote area is anywhere which is not serviced by a technician, and only phone support is available.

5. Joining fee of $250 applies if you settle to another financial provider

6. Additional fees and charges including $110 recovery and data removal fee if you cancel your plan, $500 terminal non-return fee if you need to replace a damaged EFTPOS machine or you don't return your machine once you've finished your plan and EFTPOS stationery order charged if you order new EFTPOS rolls and stationery for your machine. You may incur an upgrade fee of $149 per EFTPOS machine if you choose to upgrade.
