After listening to our customers, we heard one thing loud and clear – ATM withdrawal fees were incredibly frustrating and something that customers felt was unfair.
That’s why we were the first major Australian bank to stop charging Australians ATM withdrawal fees. We abolished the fees to make using ATMs fairer for all bank customers, particularly in regional and rural areas where access might be more limited.
And that’s a significant change. Data from the Reserve Bank of Australia shows there were more than 250 million* withdrawals across all Australian banks by non-customers in the 2017 financial year, before the fee was dropped.
With 3,400 CommBank ATMs located all around Australia, chances are you’ll find one of our ATMs when you need to deposit, withdraw or transfer money.
Use our ATM finder to locate one of our ATMs located nearest you.
*Reserve Bank data shows a total 251,651,300 “foreign” ATM cash withdrawals in the last financial year.
