Where you can access

In Australia

We have over 4,000 ATMs (including BankWest) that you can use in Australia. They’re all free* of access fees for our customers.

To find your nearest CommBank ATM, our ATM locator tool can help you with that. It will show you which branches have cash, cheque and coin deposit machines. You can also find the locator tool on the CommBank mobile app.

Outside Australia

There are more than 900,000 ATMs worldwide that will accept your card overseas through the MasterCard Cirrus and Visa Plus networks. Just look for the MasterCard Cirrus or Visa Plus logos on ATMs. For ATM Locations overseas both MasterCard and Visa have locator tools.

If you’re visiting New Zealand ASB Bank also has an ATM search tool.

How to use an ATM

  1. Insert your card into an ATM
  2. You will be asked to enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN). This ensures that only you can operate your account, which means they are safe and secure
  3. Follow the prompts. If you make a mistake, just press the 'clear' or 'cancel' buttons and start again.

Audio assistance
A number of our ATMs have audio assistance for the visually impaired. You insert your headphones to connect and the audio enabled machine will talk you through the ATM transaction you wish to do.
