How can we support Australian entrepreneurs to even greater things?

How can we support Australian entrepreneurs to even greater things?

Entrepreneurs are critical to vibrant economies. They’re at the cutting edge of innovation and constantly challenge notions of what’s possible.

Data demonstrates entrepreneurs are a global force for good. Entrepreneurship is associated with peace, equality and expanded human welfare.[1]

We have a proud history of supporting the passion and contribution of Australia’s emerging businesses who inject a vital spark into our economy, which is why this year, we will once again be the Principal Sponsor of EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year program in Australia and New Zealand. For the third consecutive year we’re also running Australia’s most inspirational business forum – Wired for Wonder. Unlike any other conference, Wired for Wonder aspires to catalyse new ideas, providing a nexus for people to wonder, learn from others and stimulating thought.

Initiatives like this are why Australia is ranked the world’s 3rd most innovative country in the world.[2]

EY Entrepreneur of the Year

There was no shortage of outstanding candidates for this year’s EY Entrepreneur of the Year awards. We are delighted to sponsor a program that celebrates these talented people. It provides opportunities to connect with like-minded entrepreneurs and access to respected business people.

Congratulations to all winners of this year’s national EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. Their drive and entrepreneurial spirit are exceptional.

The calibre of the entrepreneurs nominated as a regional or national finalist was no less impressive, showing remarkable flair for turning extraordinary ideas into action.

Of course coming up with those ideas required them to be stimulated to push their thinking. One way this can be achieved is through attending thought provoking events such as Wired for Wonder. Wired for Wonder was created by CommBank to feed Australian brains with new ideas and situations to spark new ideas and change the way they think about business and life.

Wired for Wonder gathers more than 40 of the world’s most respected speakers and thought leaders in fields spanning technology, innovation, business, arts, science and life to open the door to a completely new way of thinking. With inspirational short talks, interactive workshops, brainstorms and thought provoking debate on the world’s most pressing topics, Wired for Wonder will take you on a journey of discovery and innovation.

It will meld and mesh disparate worlds and stimulate and nurture creativity as it brings together the brightest minds with the brightest ideas doing the most incredible things. Think of it as food for the brain or ‘boot camp’ for the mind. Be immersed in a different world, create new connections and relationships and ignite new neural pathways. Wired for Wonder is another way we are investing in developing the future minds of Australian business.

Wired for Wonder is in Sydney on 15/16 November and in Melbourne on 17 November. Come wonder with us
