What is a webinar?

The word ‘webinar’ is a blend of ‘web’ and ‘seminar’. A webinar is a presentation held over the internet in which a presenter shares information with an audience. The advantage of a webinar is that you can view the presentation from the comfort of your own home or workplace.

Who is Intrado?

CommBank has collaborated with Intrado to deliver webinars to our customers and community. Intrado owns the platform (Intrado Studio) by which the webinars are broadcast. When you click on any of the registration links on this page, you’ll be taken to a registration form managed by Intrado. You’ll also receive reminder emails from Intrado on behalf of CommBank.

I’ve registered for the webinar(s), so what happens next?

Once registered, you’ll receive email reminders about the webinar you’ve registered for. We’ve partnered with Intrado to deliver the webinars, so look out for emails from: cba_external@theonlinexpo.com. Make sure you check your junk email inbox in case the email was delivered there.

About five minutes before the scheduled webinar, click on the link provided to you in your confirmation email or calendar invite.

What do I need to join and watch the webinar(s)?

Make sure you register for the webinar(s) using the registration links above. You’ll be sent a confirmation email shortly after registering, which will include a calendar invite and a webinar link. Make sure you add the webinar invite to your calendar so you don’t miss out.

You’ll also need:

  • An internet connection
  • A device such as a computer, laptop, tablet computer or smartphone with sound
  • You won’t need a microphone or camera as the presenter won’t be able to see or hear you
  • For optimal viewing, we recommend Google Chrome as your internet browser

What will happen during the webinar?

Our presenter will share a slide show on the webinar topic. If you have any questions throughout the webinar, there will be a section on the screen where you can type your question. At the end of the session, our presenter will answer as many questions as time allows.

There will also be a short survey for you to complete. Your feedback is important to us and we would appreciate your time in completing the survey to assist us in planning and tailoring future webinars.

Yes, we’ll be making the webinar recordings available on this page once the webinar has been broadcast.
