There are now significant restrictions on who can enter Australia. See the Department of Home Affairs website for more information.
In most cases, if you are allowed to enter Australia, you must undertake a mandatory 14-day quarantine at designated facilities in your port of arrival. If you get an exemption from quarantine, please do not come into a branch for at least 14 days from your arrival in the country.
If you have already opened an account and deposited money into it, but have not been identified, you will not be able to withdraw any money from the account during this time. Please do not come into a branch until your self-isolation period is complete.
We are aware of the impact this will have on some of our customers and we are doing everything we can to try and minimise this. We will continue to update this page as the situation changes – but if you have specific queries you can contact our International team on iprb@cba.com.au or by calling +61 (0)2 8055 4145. You can find other ways that we can help customers on our dedicated coronavirus page – commbank.com.au/coronavirus
