Learn how to set up service delegates to simplify and speed up processes on your CommBiz service.

Why you'd do this

To add users as service delegates so they can digitally approve maintenance requests and make changes to your CommBiz service are faster and easier.

What you'll need

  • CommBiz service administrator permissions

How to add service delegates

Step 1

  • Log on and go to Admin then Maintenance request.
  • Then go to Service delegates followed by OK, let's start.

Step 2

  • Choose the minimum number of service delegates you need and who they’ll be. Click Next.

Step 3

  • Review the entities your service delegates will approve maintenance requests for. Click Next.
  • Scroll down to check what the difference between these two entity categories is.

Step 4

  • Choose who'll approve any new service delegates. People who can will appear here. 
  • Choose the required number of approvers. Click Next.

Step 5

  • Review the changes before clicking Submit

Step 6

  • Once your request is submitted and approved, your service delegates will be activated. You can track it from your dashboard. We'll send you a message when it’s approved.

Different kinds of entity categories

  • Primary entity: Your main business that owns the CommBiz service you’re using.
  • Linked entity: Businesses that have been linked to your CommBiz service. If selected, service delegates will be able to approve maintenance requests for them.
